ABOUT
English TV and film composer Giuseppe Alfano began his career in bands touring up and down the country and abroad performing to thousands of people alongside obtaining a degree in Commercial Music Performance Bmus at Westminster University. While doing so his songwriting won him Best International Breakout Band 2010, a place in ScuzzTV's Top 40 Most Requested Videos 2010, Kerrang's Top 10 Unsigned Bands of 2011, and also landed a deal with CMO Management (Gorillaz, Blur, Grace Jones).
After working alongside producers Jack Ruston and Nick Tauber (Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy) Giuseppe was given the opportunity to compose a number of Sky TV library tracks. This ignited his passion for composing for TV and film. Shortly after he was awarded a scholarship to City University studying under renouned BBC film composer, William Goodchilde, where he obtained a Masters in Composing For Moving Images.
He since then has collaborated with BAFTA award-winning director Peter Nicholson, BAFTA nominated director Charlotte Regan, was mentored by Heitor Periera (composer of Despicable Me, Madagascar), and currently writes with Hollywood composer Juan Carlos Rodriguez supplying music for Telemundo. Giuseppe also worked on My Mom And The Girl which picked up two awards at Cannes Film Festival 2017 and went on to become long listed for the 2018 Academy Awards. His music has previously been nominated at Aubagne Film Festival 2017 in France, and the score for the multi award-winning short film, Fragile Storm earning him two nominations for Best Music, and last year he was nominated for his score for LA-based short film, Evie's Christmas Gift. Most recently Giuseppe has completed narrative short film project for VICE. Also he has previously composed for UK national channels SkyTV, BBC, The Voice Australia, been a part of BAFTA and award-winning documentary and narrative film crews, and has music distributed by EMI and BMG.
Giuseppe now works in both London and LA on film, TV and branded content. In downtime you will find him hiking up a mountain or deep in meditative thought.
